Last Night I Had a Dream

Last night I had a dream.
I danced at my daughter's wedding,
marveled at the birth of my son's baby boy,
another Benjamin named for my father.

In that dream, she wore a white gown,
glowed like a princess and her smile lit the room.
Always daddy's little girl, she looked up at me
and told me she loved me
and that I would always be
the most important man in her life.
